HOLIDAY SEASON
At the Holidays in December, Gifts for Teens gives eligible teens a brand new large duffel or sports tote filled with over 40 new items that are practical, nutritious, valuable, and fun gifts.
Every boy and girl teen receives a brand new large duffel or tote bag with valuable personal products that can be used all year.
HOW WE WORK
GFT is led by a committee of 16 dedicated volunteers who create 800 or more large gift totes and sport duffels each year as gifts to low-income and homeless Silicon Valley teenagers.
The committee members work from January to October gathering donations of cash, grants, and new items, and purchasing new merchandise as individual gifts to create each bag.
In September and October many community volunteers work with GFT committee members to organize items and fill each duffel and tote to the brim, finishing each one with a bow.
All 850 bags are distributed in December.
